Janet is a dream to work with. She is an incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and creative landscape designer. We live in a townhouse, so we have small garden spaces in both the front and the back. Janet was able to take both spaces and create stunning, peaceful landscapes using primarily native plant species. We love her fondness for eco-friendly design and have learned so much from her about supporting pollinators and managing rainwater sustainably. We were lucky enough to have Janet design our backyard. We were interested in enhancing the beauty and utility of our backyard after moving into our new house. We provided Janet with measurements and a list of must-haves including a larger entertaining space, a vegetable garden, making use of current plants and easy maintenance. Janet delivered more than we could have imagined. The backyard design is absolutely stunning, exceeding all expectations and desires. She provided an animated walk-through and detailed plan that helped us picture exactly what it would look like. Janet Mackey is outstanding. It really was an excellent experience. I was so pleased to receive the detail and support in creating my backyard. I found it very worthwhile. The information that Janet was able to provide as a Master Gardener was extensive. I was keen on creating a habitat for birds and butterflies and pollinators, growing plants that were native and non-invasive. Janet was able to do that, providing a variety of colour, seasonal interest and texture. We were even able to find solutions to our water drainage issues, by designing a rain garden!
